Two to three rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible today and Thursday. A few spotty storms will move through the region this morning into early afternoon. A second round, with a better chance for a strong or severe storm, would then be possible during the evening and overnight hours.
The greatest threat for severe weather has shifted westward for Thursday, due to the potential for weaker spotty showers and storms lingering through the day. The best chance storms becoming strong to severe across eastern Nebraska and into western Iowa will be Thursday evening and into the overnight hours. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats.
