An area of light rain showers with a few embedded thunderstorms will move across the region between 2 PM and 5 PM. The best chance for a few lightning strikes are in the blue shaded areas. There is also a small (20%) chance for one of these storms to become strong or severe with hail and wind over southeast NE or southwest IA through 5 PM.
