A developing storm system will bring unsettled weather to our area this weekend. Though the rainfall amounts have been on the downward trend the last couple of days, the vast majority of us will still see some rain this weekend. The highest rainfall totals will be along and south of I-80, where 1 to 2 inches of rain will be possible. Further north in northeast Nebraska, rainfall totals will likely remain under half an inch. Lastly, there will be the potential for strong thunderstorms Saturday (tomorrow) afternoon with convection along the cold front. The primary hazards with this convection will be small hail and gusty winds. Behind the front, temperatures will cool significantly with highs likely in the 60s by the beginning of next week.
