Excessive heat potential is still expected for the afternoon tomorrow (Wednesday). Afternoon temperatures near 100 degrees and high dew points will have heat indices ranging from 100 to 105 in the advisory area, and 110-115 in the excessive heat warning. Also worth noting, there is the potential for afternoon thunderstorms to develop. If these develop earlier than anticipated, it will keep the hottest temperatures further south. Regardless, one more day of hot temperatures before a cold front pushes through tomorrow night, bringing afternoon heat indices into the weekend as much as 25 degrees lower than it has been the last couple of days.
