August has started off rather wet, with many locations receiving significant rainfall. Two large swaths of rainfall between 1 and 3 inches have fallen across the area, with isolated totals of 4 to nearly 6 inches. Even with all the rain, flooding impacts have been minimal, though many rivers experienced significant in-bank rises and drainage ditches remain filled with water.
